The biggest STAR!

R136a1 is the largest star known to man!

The hypergiant star is estimated to be 265 larger than our Sun and about 8,700,000 brighter than it. These estimations and calculations were done by Paul Crowther in 2010.

Imagine how much of the univers is undiscovered by humans. As Neil deGrasse Tyson has said, looking at the universe we can see and explore and saying there is no other life form is like someone taking a cup to the beach, filling it with ocean water and stating that there is no whales in the ocean because there are non in the cup. 

How far are space travels away, and have humans lost the intrest to explose their solar system because it is not yet profitable? The United States have halted their NASA explorations as a budget cut, although more money is spend on Military and so it seems to be in the rest of the world.

In this show, Dr. Tyson states that the Bail out of American Banks was more money than was spent on NASA over its entire existence (50 years)

I hope that space exploration will continue in the future and that the general public will encourage it.
