Oxford University is going to digitize ancient texts and make them freely available.
Although I doubt this will be as popular as making movies and music freely available online, this will be very informative.
The Bodleian Libraries of the University of Oxford and the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticane announced that would digitalize 1.5 million pages of their archives. These pages will be made up of three main subject areas, the Greek manuscripts, Hebrew manuscripts and early printed books. This will not only help both the libraries to have easy access to the other, but will be freely available so easy access to everyone.
